Glacier trip day 2

Our first morning in the park this is at Lake Mcdonald

I stuck my hand out the window and had the camera facing down this is the side of the road!! Yikes straight down to the bottom!

This is the highline trail straight down on one side there is a cable on the cliff on the right to hang on! Straight down is the road and then from that is straight down is the bottom of the mountain

On our boat tour of Lake Mcdonald it was so fun and the captain tells lots of stories and history about the park

I forgot the name of this mountain but it is meant to look like an indian cheif laying down the highest point is his nose and the right side of the pic with all the trees is his head dress way cool! There was also a mountain that was renamed after a couple that climbed it around the time the park opened and they were the first to climb it no one believed them and 82 years later 2 young guys climbed it and found their note in a bottle with the date so it was renamed Cannon Peak after them! Most of the peaks had cool names and a good story with it!

Day 2 was so much fun and it was our 5th anniversary we got to see a lot and learn a lot! Enjoy the photos! Look for my previous post about day one and day 3 to come! It might take me a few days for day 3 we will be having fun with Jess' sisters and brother in law and nephews in Boise! Thanks to my in laws for letting us hitch a ride to Boise!!

Glacier trip day 1

This is Jess at Flathead Lake just out side of West Glacier Montana!

My Grandpa Hancey told us to stop here and I am so glad we did the water looked so amazing it was so clear and on our boat tour the guide told us that in most lakes up there you can see all the way to the bottom the glaciers help to create the beautiful colors it was amazing and HUGE!!

Our little cabin for two nights it was so cute I would highly recommend staying there it is called the Western inn and is in Columbia Falls Montana just outside the west entrance of the park! they have RV sites and hotel rooms, cabins, tipis, and wall tents! We both slept so good in the cozy cabin!

My aunt told us about this place it was fun they had a very cool tilted house that you could stand on the walls and it was crazy to try and stand straight

Jess and I decided for our 5th anniversary to take a trip we went to Glacier National Park and I could stay there forever.............or until it starts to snow!! Its was beautiful I have so many pictures most of them are on my facebook but I will post about each day! We had so much fun and I loved spending all day with Jess we had lots of laughs and good times!! We stayed at Jess' mom and dads on Thursday night so that we could be a little into our drive it was a very pretty drive we stopped in Missoula for lunch and then at Flathead Lake near West Glacier we went on a tour and had a yummy steak dinner at The Back Room in Columbia Falls Jess had a huckleberry Lemonade and it was Yummy! Huckleberry is a big deal up there and a fun fact for ya!..... Grizzly Bears like to eat them! We enjoyed our first day and could not wait to get into the park the next day!!

FIVE YEARS!!!!!

FIVE YEARS

I am doing this a few days early because we will be going on a fun trip to glacier national park! Yay I am excited to spend a few days just having fun and hanging out with my most favorite person! So Jess and I will have our five year anniversary on Aug 11 and in 2007 that was the best day ever! Jess and I have been together a long time we dated for three years so we have been together about eight years now and it has been amazing! I am so proud of all that he has done and accomplished he is such a hard worker, and he really is an amazing guy! I love you Jess thanks for being so good to me! The last five years have been great! And again sorry for the picture overload but we have had some fun times this has been a great year with Jess getting the job he loves and living in a new place and it was a great four years in Idaho and so many great memories of Sunday drives and going to the falls and Dierkes lake I miss our time in Idaho but now we will make some great memories here in Utah and I can't wait for many more years plus eternity!! Love you Jess and thanks to all of our family for supporting us!!
